Bonuses can only be granted on limit features whose usage is tracked in PriceOS.
How Bonuses Work
There are two important rules that define how bonuses behave.1. Bonuses do not reset
Bonuses are one-time allocations, not recurring allowances. If a customer receives 25 bonus credits, they have 25 total bonus credits — not 25 per month. Bonuses remain available until they are used (or expire, if an expiration date is set).2. Bonuses are only used after the base limit is exhausted
Bonus credits are consumed only when a customer exceeds their standard plan limit. As long as usage stays within the base allowance, bonuses remain untouched.Bonus Example
To drive the point home, let’s take an example where…- We have a limit feature for “credits” which has a monthly limit of 100
- A customer receives a 50-credit bonus with no expiration
Month 1
Usage: 50 credits- Base credits used: 50
- Bonus credits used: 0
- Remaining bonus credits: 50
Month 2
Usage: 120 credits- Base credits used: 100
- Bonus credits used: 20
- Remaining bonus credits: 30
Month 3
Usage resets to 0 (new billing period) The customer now has:- 100 base credits (new month)
- 30 remaining bonus credits
